OrthoNeutrogena selects Stratagem as agency of record for Renova brand

By: PharmaLive

OrthoNeutrogena, a division of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, has selected Stratagem Healthcare Communications to handle the company’s marketing and branding initiatives for RENOVA® (tretinoin cream 0.02%).

The addition of OrthoNeutrogena to the Stratagem client roster is an exciting one. “We have such depth of experience in the skin care arena and in identifying the true emotional insight that leads to brand differentiation and adoption. We look forward to really taking a 360-degree look at RENOVA resulting in a compelling position and brand identity that will take it into the future,” says Susan Hempstead, Principal, Account Services.

RENOVA is the only prescription cream proven to reduce fine facial lines associated with chronic sun exposure when used as part of a comprehensive skin care program.

“We’ve built significant brand equity with dermatologists over the years, though we believe this is the right time to renew physician awareness of RENOVA,” says Vas Ratnathicam, marketing manager for RENOVA. “We were impressed with Stratagem’s branding insights and years of senior-level strategic experience in launching and growing brands. We look forward to our partnership with Stratagem.”

OrthoNeutrogena, a division of Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, offers a complete line of dermatologist recommended and prescribed skin care products, including creams and oral medications used to treat acne, fungal infections, and damage caused by chronic sun exposure and aging.
